Welcome to High Country Lodge

High Country Lodge offers a straightforward, no-frills lodging experience nestled in the heart of Colorado Springs. With a convenient location just steps from the stunning red-rock formations at Garden of the Gods, it appeals especially to visitors seeking easy access to outdoor activities like hiking and biking in a laid-back setting. The lodge’s appeal lies in its balance of value and comfort, with renovated units that deliver a clean and updated environment at a reasonable price.

Guests appreciate the lodge's fresh and tidy interiors, which often surpass expectations for accommodations in this category. While the absence of some standard features—such as heating and door knobs—might catch some off guard, the community spirit among guests and staff often transforms these minor inconveniences into quirky talking points rather than deal-breakers. The long-term rental model caters well to travelers planning extended stays who want a dependable base without the high costs common in this area.

For business travelers, the availability of relevant amenities adds practical value, while the surrounding natural beauty invites leisure seekers to unwind in a uniquely Colorado setting. Although the lodge holds a modest 3.5-star rating, it earns respect for its honest approach and its positioning as a solid choice for those prioritizing location and price over luxury.

Ultimately, High Country Lodge resonates as a genuine, approachable retreat—simple but sincere, nestled amid one of Colorado’s most iconic landscapes. It’s a place where practical travelers can feel at home and tap into the spirit of the high country without pretense.

It's what you'd expect. Location is undeniably convenient and near garden of the gods. They rent long term and not short term. The renovated units are nice and a good value compared to other rentals around there.

This place was great. Inside and outside smells like a 5 star hotel. Although there is a mattress laying on the sidewalk by the entrance, which is a little sketch. No heat, so I had to bring a space heater but that’s no biggie. Also I read that there is no door knobs , which is true. So I had to buy one of those before I came, I have a handy man at heart who just loves to help! Good thing to read reviews before you come. Would definitely stay again!

Stayed in #3 - the Airbnb room, one of them anyway. I was surprised at how neat, clean and updated this room was! I really don't have any complaints And for me that's unusual! LoL. Jk In all seriousness though, if you're looking for a clean, decent priced stay you might consider booking here through Airbnb.
